About Me

As an Artist and Teacher of Art, my work is mainly experimental and includes oil paints and mixed-media boards and canvas.  Always inspired by nature and the environment around me.  Inspiration comes from my many visits to Cornwall, my current home in Wiltshire and the mood of the day which will usually suggest the manner and media in which I work.

The variations in style is due to the students I teach inspiring new explorations into media combinations, but also due to time restrictions which is the nature of a teaching job, busy family life and the desire to constantly evolve as an artist.

My palette and current media are in oil paints, acrylics and charcoal.  I am still experimenting with styles and am leaning now towards more loose and semi-abstract work as I explore the materials and mark-making in a more expressive way.
